What You'll Need to Straighten Your Beard :
- A beard shampoo and conditioner
- A beard oil
- A blow dryer
- A beard comb
- A Mini Flattening Iron
- A beard balm & relaxing cream
Step 1 - Wash and condition
First, make sure to wash and condition your beard with the right products such as the Urban Beard beard shampoo. Beard washing and conditioning under the shower with warm water should be done one to two times per week according to your needs and lifestyle. This will ensure to remove any dirt and oil lodging on the skin or beard bristles.
Step 2 - Add some beard oil
To smooth, condition and add a little bit of lustre in the beard, use beard oil from one to two time per day when the beard is slightly damp or wet. A daily application of beard oil will also feed your beard and promote growth, plus help to relieve beard itching. After the application of beard oil throughout the beard, we strongly suggest to comb it with a beard comb to evenly spread the beard oil.
Step 3 - Blow dry
Once the beard oil has been applied, and the beard combed, comes time to dry the beard with a blow-dryer. As per precaution and not to damage the beard bristles, we should always keep the blow dryer about 8 inches away from our face. Meanwhile, we should comb our beard bristles downward with a beard comb.
Step 4 - Straighten
In order to obtain an awesome and perfect beard, now it's time to start thinking about using a straightening iron. Set your flat iron on lowest temperature, and by taking good care not to burn the hair, take a little section at a time, ( i.e. by sections of one-inch ) and make downward motions. Section by section, straighten the beard whiskers until the obtention of an epic Zeus mane. We recommend using a flat mini flat iron like this one.
Step 5 - Add some Relaxing Cream or beard balm
At the ends, we wish to add some hold in our beard to conserve the flattening effect throughout the entire day. Therefore, a little bit of Relaxing Cream or beard balm should be used at this stage. Plus, beard balms generally also feed and condition the beard and skin. If struggling with some curly beard bristles, start by using a good natural beard balm,
