Why Men don't grow Beards

Why Men don't grow Beards

What prevents a man from growing a Beard?

Lately, it was often questions of beards fashion and benefits. Today, we left our little nest to treat the subject from a completely different standpoint.

Instead of presenting beards and their merits, we decided to put ourselves in the shoes of those who simply cannot grow a beard—not for genetic reasons, but by choice or obligations. In perspective, there are three main reasons why men don't let their beards grow out.

1 - My Wife Doesn't let me Grow a Beard

If you are like most men,  you always had a kind of little crush for a beard style in particular—and thought to yourself—one day, I'll go ahead and try out that beard style. However, whenever the time comes to start growing it out—she's always there to come shuffle the cards. Too many men are sadly stuck with their wives that simply don't want to hear, or see anything that relates to beards—they are categorically refusing that their beloved ones grow out the beard that they've always wanted. The unfortunate thing with this fact is not that these men are being forced to always be clean shaven—but rather the concept of unhealthy control and grip that their wives have on them. Anyway, a beard is made to be worn by a man, and it is what it is ... If you decide to jump in the bearded life, you must be able to be the master of your decisions and actions.

2 - My Job doesn't allow me to Have a Beard

In an era where fitting in the mold is a prerequisite for many jobs—too many men won't dare venture in facial hair, and even less at work. Obviously, bigotry against beards has—for a long time—motivated businesses executives to prohibit their employees to wear beards at work. Fortunately, today, we are starting to see an evolution of the beard acceptance. This trend of the past is about to be reversed.

3 - I don't know if a Beard would suit me

Like anything in life, we learn from our experiences. How can you determine if a beard will suits you well or not if you've never even tried it. Obviously, growing a beard is not like buying a new shirt, it's a long time process that requires grooming with suitable products. At the ends, the result may be very impressive and you'll certainly be proud of it. Conversely, if you don't try, you'll certainly live with regrets for the rest of your life. Plus, beards come with their share of fun feelings, which you'll never experience.
