Before taking any decision, make sure that your mustache is neat and combed
Before you can determine if your mustache is really uneven, you should clean it in the shower with a beard soap, apply beard oil, comb it down with a beard comb and then dry it with a hair dryer set on low temperature or with a flat or curling iron if you wearing a handlebar mustache and his hairs are enough longs. So, once your mustache is dry and well combed down, you will see if it is really uneven. If it is not, the problem is rather at the level of your styling technique.
Watch your mustache closely to see if it is equal
Once your mustache is cleaned, combed and dry, stand in front of a mirror to observe his irregularities. If you want to sport a classic mustache, the hairs should be combed down. On the contrary, if you sport a handlebar mustache, his hairs should be combed from the center to the tips of your mouth. In both cases, the length of your mustache, if it is separated in two from the center of your mouth, should be the same length. To do this, you should take a ruler and make sure the two opposite sides are equal. The bristles of a classic "stache" should not embark over your superior lip when they are combed down. So you must use scissors to cut the hairs that come over your upper lip. The use of a beard trimmer could lead to errors which could be crucial. So you have more dexterity and more control with scissors. Those who sport a handlebar mustache should not encounter this problem because the hair of their mustache should be combed from the center to the corners of their mouth.
Stylize your mustache and admire your work
After too long hairs were chopped with scissors, now comes time to add wax in your mustache to offer it maximum holding. If you ever apply beard oil in your mustache after cleaning it under the shower, make sure it is dry before adding the mustache wax. Otherwise, if the beard oil is not fully absorbed by the hairs of your mustache, it will affect the texture of the mustache wax. Finally, when you apply mustache wax, make sure to extend it equally to obtain a perfectly disposed mustache. Look at you for the last time in the mirror and take the last measure and repeat the process if your mustache still uneven. On the contrary, if it is equal now, sit back and admire your work.
