DOVO Solingen

The DOVO German company was founded in 1906 and was at the time only a small factory that forged straight razors. Since then, DOVO continued to evolve and expand its product range by producing over 2,000 units per day. The speciality of DOVO lies primarily in their "Shavette" style straight razors, straight razors, and double-edged safety razors.
 
Shortly after the second world war, the founders Mr. Drop & Mr. Voos wanted to retire themselves. They, therefore, rely instead on Fritz Bracht. Subsequently, due to the upcoming of electric razors, Mr. Bracht was forced to find a second source of income. Therefore, the EUREKA hair scissors saw the days. Since that time, DOVO became one of the biggest names in the shaving industry. DOVO, Merkur, and EUREKA now have over 70 employees working in their factory of 3,900 m² in Solingen. DOVO manufactures straight razors, Merkur manufactures safety double-edged razors and EUREKA manufactures hair scissors, nail clippers, etc.
